Details: The Palace Backpackers is located in the centre of Brisbane City inside a beautiful, heritage listed building. Contained within the walls of The Palace are: a 24 hour reception desk, travel agent, job club, cafe, restaurant, the famous Downunder Bar and lots of friendly staff who are there to help. With free drop-off and pick-up service from the Transit Centre and Airtrain (Airport) access just across the road, The Palace is easy to get to. With all the facilities and services on offer, it is also easy to stay. There are five levels of accommodation and facilities including laundries, irons, cable television, safety deposit boxes, not to mention lots of friendly and 'happy-go-lucky' guests. Everyone who stays here makes a friend and meets someone from another country. With Brisbane's craziest backpacker and student bar just down the stairs, open until 0300 every night of the week, there's dancing and partying all night. The cafe serves breakfasts all day and the bistro is open for lunch and dinner, offering an a-la-carte menu, salad bar and grill. Because of the central location, all the elements of 'a big city' are also conveniently close. Great shopping, banks, Southbank Parklands, museums, cultural centres, parks and cinemas are all in walking distance from The Palace. Everything you need and more is right at your fingertips.
