Details: Overlooking Abel Point Marina, the two spacious, self-contained guest suites both have panoramic views from their patios. The house is surrounded by mango and frangipani trees filled with frolicking lorikeets. Although host Peter Brooks is extraordinarily helpful with regard to local activities, the lure of his poolside hammock can sidetrack even energetic guests. Rooms are tiled in terra-cotta, with bamboo-mat ceilings and cedar blinds. The rate includes breakfast—a five-star affair: complete with white linen, heavy silverware, beautifully presented tropical fruits and flowers, homemade jams, freshly squeezed juice, and a wide choice of dishes.
