The motel is operated by Imre and Rita and is home to them and their faithful Australian Silkie, 'Hamish'. The Cara Motel is known for its exceptionally friendly service delivered in a professional manner, ensuring you an enjoyable and comfortable stay. The 'Triple A' RACQ rated 3½ star motel has 12 quality suites and one luxury suite with spa bath. The motel is small and thus Rita is able to give that extra personal touch, attention to detail and create a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Visitors boast about the clean and comfortable suites. All suites are NON-SMOKING! Family suites are also available consisting of two interconnecting rooms and sleeps up to six people. The Cara Motel is situated opposite the Maryborough Base Hospital at 196 Walker Street and next door to the Hospital Café.
