The purpose of the Campbell Rhododendron Gardens is to conserve the natural features of the area for the pleasure of visitors and encourage tourists to enjoy the beauty of the garden.
The garden of 18 hectares contains azaleas, rhododendrons, camellias, maples, spring bulbs, towering trees both native and exotic, and a lake. Picnic areas are available.
A feature of the garden is the beautiful natural fern glades and the abundance of native flora.
Membership subscriptions and donations help towards the upkeep of the garden. The Blue Mountains Rhododendron Society is a volunteer organisation which manages the Gardens and does all of its own fundraising.
The Lodge in the Gardens is open during the peak flowering season from the beginning of October to the first week of November for the best Devonshire Teas in the Blue Mountains.
